My Story

Everyone has a story.  Mine began more than a decade ago, when my wife needed a website for a new business she was starting.  Facing the reality of paying a professional web designer what I thought was way too much money at the time, I thought to myself, I can figure this website thing out. (what was I thinking?)

After buckets of coffee, sleepless nights, and more than a few choice words mumbled not so quietly; and noted by my kid tugging my sleeve, looking up and asking, “Daddy, why you so mad?” I was lucky enough to somehow teach myself just enough code to cobble together my first website.

Despite my harrowing first experience, ha, ha, I was hooked.  Since then, I’ve continued learning and honing my skills so that I can add as much value as I can for our trusted partners and their businesses.

At the core, really is my passion to help people and companies share their story in the digital world.  What makes them go?  Why are they doing what they do?  How are they doing it?  Taking the time to truly understand the why, what, and how, and then helping to share that story is what we do.

As I’ve worked with business owners over the years, as well as having started my own business, I truly understand the journey, with all the challenges and frustrations business owners are faced with each day.

My professional journey started at The Ohio State University where I earned a B.A. in Journalism and Major in Advertising.  Since college, I’ve worked more than 20 years in sales/marketing roles including startups to fortune 100 companies.  My background and experience provide a solid foundation for being able to understand and help our clients find their way in the digital world.

What started out more than a decade ago has evolved into Barefoot Story.  I look forward to the opportunity to help share yours.
